If you are descended from the Colborn family, then you're descended from the Eacker family, who is descended from the Loucks/Laux and Petrie families. The Petrie family also married into the Herkimer family, who also are our ancestors.
If the connections are right (in the tree), then Maria Margaret Finck's mother was a sister of her husband's grandmother. Let that sink in for a minute.
Looking at the right side of the tree - Petrie family. Johan Jost Petrie and Gertrude Von Ringh are another set of 7th great-grandparents. Their daughter (my 6th great-grandmother) Catherine Petrie married Johan Jost Herkimer and her sons included Gen. Nicholas Herkimer and Capt. George Herkimer (my 5th great-grandfather).
Catherine Petrie Herkimer's brother, Marcus Petrie (whose line is included here), also died at the Battle of Oriskany where Gen. Nicholas Herkimer died.
Another interesting note (I haven't proven yet), is that our ancestor Gertrude Von Ringh was supposedly a cousin to Queen Anne, who was Queen of England, Scotland and Ireland between 8 March 1702 and 1 May 1707.
