Angela Maria Suozzo (1894-1980)
Angela Maria Suozzo was born July 28, 1894 in Brooklyn, NY to Italian immigrants, Antonio Suozzo and Florence Volpe, who were married around 1887 (possibly in Italy).
She was studying to become a nun and working in the hospital during World War I. She met her future husband, Clarence A. Lee, when he was ordered to abandon ship and became ill from exposure.
According to her obituary in the Asbury Park Press, she moved to Long Branch, NJ in 1924. She was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church.
At some point, she was living at Kennedy Towers on Rockwell Avenue.
She died at the age of 85 on Jun 09, 1980 at Monmouth Medical Center.
She and her husband, Clarence, are buried in Beverly National Cemetery in Beverly, NJ.
